This exciting, stylish and presciently timely action-spy thriller directed by Phillip Noyce (The Quiet American, Patriot Games) stars Angelina Jolie as Evelyn Salt. Doing her own stunts in professionally crafted action sequences (not computer-generated), she plays a CIA officer who swore an oath to duty, honor and country, but her loyalty will be tested when a defector accuses her of being a Russian sleeper spy. Salt goes on the run, chased by a conservative CIA counterintelligence officer (Chjwetel Ejiofor), using all her skills and years of experience as a covert operative to elude capture. Salt's efforts to prove her innocence only serve to cast doubt on her motives and her supportive boss (Liev Schreiber) becomes slowly convinced he�s been had.
