NYC Detective Allen Gamble (Will Ferrell) is a meticulous forensic accountant who's more interested in and accurate with paperwork than he�d ever be hitting the streets, and Detective Terry Hoitz (Mark Wahlberg) is a tough guy who has been stuck with Allen as his partner ever since an unfortunate run-in with NY Yankee Derek Jeter left a sizable black mark on his permanent record. Gamble and Hoitz idolize the city's top cops, confident, stylish and always successful Highsmith and Danson (Samuel L. Jackson and Dwayne Johnson), but when an opportunity arises for Gamble and Hoitz to prove their mettle, things don't quite go as planned. Directed by Adam McKay (Anchorman, Talladega Nights) this buddy police comedy is sure to shine.
