HOW DOES THIS WORK?
We operate very similarly to other cinemas. You buy a ticket and order your food from the concession. Once you order hot food, you will receive a numbered pager; when your food is ready your pager will flash rapidly and vibrate and you can sneak back and pick it up.
DO WE HAVE TO ORDER FOOD TO SEE THE MOVIE?
You don't have to eat our delicious food in order to watch the film, but we do strongly encourage it!
CAN WE EAT OUR FOOD IN THE THEATER?
Yes, that is the whole idea of our business. And we will clean up after you. However, we do not allow food from the outside world to be consumed in our theater.
WHEN CAN WE ORDER FOOD?
Anytime you want, even during the show, or after. The concession is always open.
DO YOU SERVE ALCOHOL?
Yes, we serve several brands of beer on tap, including locally made favorites, and a limited selection of wine by the glass. We also have non-alcoholic beer.
WHEN SHOULD WE GET THERE?
We recommend you arrive at least ½ hour before showtime.
CAN I RESERVE SEATS?
Yes, in fact all seats are assigned. You will select them at the time of purchase.
CAN WE BUY TICKETS IN ADVANCE?
Advance ticket vouchers are available on our website. Online sales close for day of show admissions when the box office opens. If seats for that evening are still available when we open the box office, all remaining tickets will be available first come first served at the door. You will still be able to buy tickets online for another night's shows.
WHAT IF I HAVE A GIFT CERTIFICATE?
To use any of our pre-paid options, like a one-shot, big ticket, guest pass or gift certificate, you will sign up for seats as if paying. When entering, present your card to the ticket booth; at that time your initial payment will be cancelled and your credit will be used.
WHAT IS DIFFERENT ABOUT COUCHES?
Couch seating is per party with a minimum of two seats (maximum of four) required to reserve.
DO YOU SHOW ADVERTISING BEFORE THE FEATURE?
Before each film we show two or three studio preview trailers of films that are scheduled at Reel Pizza in the next week or so. We do not show any paid advertising.
DO YOU ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS?
We accept MasterCard, VISA and Discover. Cash and Local checks with a local phone # are also accepted. We have an ATM.
DO YOU HAVE PARKING?
No. We are within walking distance of a large town lot. There are many onstreet parking spaces within walking distance. We are directly across from the ISLAND EXPLORER BUS depot which accesses all parts of Mount Desert Island. The bus runs late June through October. We do have a dedicated pull thru lane for takeout pickup and patron drop-off.
